Becalmed (Preservation, 2010)

Das Debütalbum von Sophie Hutching. Ein einzigartiges und beeindruckendes postklassisches Klavier- und Streicheralbum mit ihren originellen neutralen, ruhigen und unschuldigen Kompositionen.

“Seventeen” ist ein arpeggiobasiertes, apathisches und trauriges Klavierstück mit Elementen der Minimal Music.

“Sunlight Zone” ist ebenfalls ein arpeggiobasiertes, apathisches, einsames und bedeutungsvolles Klavierstück mit Hall- und Feedback-Modulationen.

“Portrait of Haller” ist ein einfaches und unschuldiges Klavierstück, das aus wenigen Tönen und Umgebungsgeräuschen besteht.

Music Review | Works of Anne Müller

Heliopause (Erased Tapes, 2019)

“Being Anne” is an abstract Drone track by significant of strings, percussions and noises.

“Solo? Repeat!” Is a song is consist of Müller’s cello and strings ensemble. This wonder song can be seen vague improvisations also minimal composition of repetitions of phrases.

“Nummer 2” is Minimal Music by a strings ensemble associates the Music of Steve Reich.

“Aarhus / Reminiscences” is Drone Ambient track in the former part. The later part is sentimental Post-classical Music with piano and cello.

“Drifting Circules” is fine and orthodox Minimal Music by string ensemble. Later part chorus follow and become a bright and dynamic mood.

“Heliopause” is Greek taste sacred composition has elements of Ambient, played by string ensemble and its reflections with clock noises and keen high tone synthesizer pad solos.

A nice Post-classical work by cellist, has elements of Minimal Music and Drone Ambient.

7fingers by Nils Frahm & Anne Müller (Erased Tapes, 2011)

“7fingers” is the collaborations album with Nils Frahm. This album has various styles Post-classical, Electronica and Experimental Classical Music.

“Teeth” is consist of improvisational plays of cello by Müller and synthesizer pad by Frahm.

“7fingers” is high-tempo Electronica features electronic percussion loops with Müller’s cello solo. Later part, beautiful pad by Frahm follow.

“Let My Key Be C” is Minimal Music of strings phrases repetitions with cello solos, like Steve Reich and Philip Glass. Later part, electric bass and glockenspiel follow.

“Show Your Teeth” is a percussive Electronica with melancholic cello solos.

“Journey for Traveller” is basically Electronica is consist of electronic percussions loops, synthesizer sequences and pad. Improvisational cello solos dubbings attach it.

“Reminds to Teeth” is beautiful and sentimental Post-classical with piano arpeggios, reverb modulated cello solos and electronic noises.

“Duktus” is sentimental mood Electronica, with swinging percussions, electric piano or synthesizer sequences. String ensemble and cello solos follow.

“Long Enough” is a cool Electronica female vocal song features string ensemble.

“Aussenseiter” is Folk and Classical taste cello and strings song, later part they are edited by electronics.

Music Review | Works of Federico Albanese

The Houseboat and the Moon (Denovali Records, 2014)

The debut album of Federico Albanese released in 2014 from Denovali Records.

“Beyond the Milk Wood” is a bright and innocent also dry piano and pad song like Ambient associates a refreshing morning.

“Disclosed” is a sentimental and fantastic song with piano arpeggios, strings melodies and accompaniments, and fragmental glockenspiel passages.

“Carousel #3” is a melancholic and innocent song is consist of piano melodies and strings accompaniment with their reflections and electronic noises. It’s the best composition of this album, I think.

“Queen and Wonder” is a Electronica track of sentimental piano, electronic percussion loops and bold synthesizer bass.

“Double Vision” is a minimal and wonderful composition with cute piano arpeggios and strings passionate play.

“Kato” is a sorrowful and melancholic piano solo piece.

“Lichtung” is a minimal sorrowful also significant piano and strings song.

“Beside You” is bright and innocent simple piano piece with noises of bell instruments.

“Secret Room” is a solitary also bright piano and strings song.

“The Sudden Sympathy” is a Folk taste very melancholic and sad piano solo piece.

“Space in Between” is an apathetic and pure minimal solo piece. The most impressive song of this album.

A good Post-classical album contains various styles and tastes.

“The Time Has Changed” is a piano arpeggio based serious track, the former part is only piano arpeggios and electronic noise. Later part, piano melodies follow and become grandionse.

“Migrants” is a sentimental and serious song of piano melodies, piano sequences and strings accompaniment.

“Shadow Land Pt.1” is a melancholic Minimal Post-classical song. It begins with piano arpeggios, strings and synthesizer pad follow.

“Silent Fall” is a sorrowful and apathetic piano piece with beautiful electronic particles.

“Céline” is sorrowful piano featured Electronica.

“And We Follow the Night” is gloomy also passionate Electronica. It begins with piano arpeggio, synthesizer arpeggios and pad solos cross it.

“Shadow Land Pt.2”, it begins melancholic piano arpeggios, keen pad chords accompaniment and another piano arpeggios follow.

“The Boar and the Cove” is a solitary fragmental piano piece with beautiful electronic particles.

“My Piano Night” is a beautiful, sorrowful also bright, impressive piano piece.

“Stellify” is a minimal apathetic piano arpeggio piece with keen pad solos.

A good piano based Post-classical album make good use of acoustic instruments and electronics naturally.
