Solo Albums

Piano Solos (2004, Splinter Records)

The debut and the first piano solo album by Dustin O’Harollan released in 2004. The entire mood of this album is melancholic also sympathetic and warm. The compositions are traditional Classical style but in it coexists a polished modern melody sense.

“Variazione di un Tango” is a song of pathetic and sorrowful impressive theme and melodies, and the structure and development are good.

The influences and tastes of Baroque (Bach), Classic (Morzart, Beethoven) and Romantic (Schubert, Chopin, Liszt) surely exists in this album, but there’s a modern intimate and simplified sense. This today’s authentic Classical Music. I think the music of O’Halloran is similar to George Winston in the structure of composition, the piano touch and the sorrowful mood, but O’Halloran’s music owns a Classical music tendency.

I recommend this album for who like George Winston.

Piano Solos Vol.2 (2006, Splinter Records / Filter US Records)

Opposed to the volume 1, this album emphasizes relaxing, calm and gentle tastes. Almost songs are slow tempo but sweet, cheerful and refreshing rather simple piano piece has the Post-classical Music taste.

This music good for meditation, cure and rest. I recommend this album for who like George Winston too.
