Trios / Solos by (with Glen Moore, ECM, 1973)

“Trios / Solos” is the debut album of Ralph Towner, as the title this album is consist of. This album features bass player Glen Moore, and tabla player Colin Walcott (track 1) and oboe player Paul McCandless (3 & 8).

“Brujo” is a Latin taste improvisation track by the trio.

“Winter Light” is a solitary mood guitar solo track.

“Noctuary” is a strange, abstract and keen improvisational track by guitar, oboe and contrabass includes bow playing.

“1 × 12” is a skilful and contemporary mood guitar solo track. Towner uses harmonics, body tapping and noises by hard plucks.

“A Belt of Asteroids” is a bass solo improvisation by Glen Moore.

“Suite: 3 × 12 I” is a contemporary also Jazz taste improvisational tracks by solo of Towner. “II” is a Country taste skilful and hard guitar improvisation track. Also “III” is Blues mood hard and technical guitar solo improvisation track.

“Raven’s Wood” is a Folk, New Age and Jazz taste song by the trio features a passionate oboe play and guitar arpeggio.

Characteristic of this album is “freely improvisation”, but it’s not avant-garde and wild like Free Jazz. It’s an urban and contemporary taste sophisticated acoustic Fusion album is similar to John Zorn in the 80’s.

Diary (ECM, 1973)

“Diary” is the solo debut album of Ralph Towner released in 1973. Towner played guitar, 12 strings guitar, piano and percussions and tracks recorded by dubbing(s) of multi-tracks.

“Dark Spirit” is a modern taste and neutral and vague mood, skilful and freely piano and guitar improvisations.

“Entry in a Diary” is a modern also Folk taste guitar solo improvisational song.

“Image Unseen” is a hard improvisational song with a passionate play, harmonics, had plucks and some noises by guitar.

“Icarus” is a famous song of the Paul Winter Consort, composed by Ralph Towner. On this recording the song played by passionate guitar and piano with contemporary transparent mood.

“Ogden Road” is a refreshing and abstract, passionate and skilful guitar and piano duo improvisational song.

“Erg” is Latin taste song with guitar improvisation, guitar body tapping noises and some Latin percussions.

“Silence of Candle” is a sentimental also refreshing mood New Age piano solo song associates George Winston.

A New Age taste acoustic Jazz Fusion album has the surprisingly contemporary, urban sophisticated and parched mood in that time.
