“Solipsism” is the debut and a piano solo album by Joep Beving.

The first track, “Midwayer” is mid-tempo, simple refreshing and beautiful piano piece.

“Etude” is simple and melancholic piano piece associates Erik Satie and his representative work “Gymnopédies”.

“For Steven” is a three-beats apathetic and improvisational piano piece.

“Zoetrope” is a fantastic, mysterious and melancholic piano piece like Oskar Schuster.

“Saturday Morning” is a very simple piano backing based song with environmental noises.

“Sleeping Lotus” is a Classical also Folk taste apathetic piano piece.

“Wanderlust” is a fine arpeggio based sorrowful and beautiful song like Impressionism Music.

“Reflection” is the same as the title, a reflective, serious and significant composition.

“Autumn” is a very apathetic and pure song is composed by few notes, may express an autumn atmosphere.

A nice and simple Post-classical piano solo album, includes the elements of Classical, Folk, New Age and Jazz.

Prehension (Sonderling / Deutsche Grammophon, 2017)

“Prehension” is a Classical and Folk taste Post-classical piano solo album. The word “Prehension” is the term by Alfred Whitehead. And this album put emphasis on perception, not cognition.

“Ab Ovo” is a left-hand arpeggio based sentimental song.

“Kawakaari” is a mild, sentimental and beautiful piano piece, also I felt Beving’s inner passion.

“The Gift” is a fragmental but gentle piano piece.

“Impermanence” is an experimental track is constructed by delay modulated arpeggio layers.

“Sonderling” and “Le Souvenir Des Temps Gracieus” are slow sorrowful, pathetic and fantastic piano piece.

“Pippi’s Theme” is and arpeggio based Folk taste sorrowful song.

“Seelenkind” is a European taste beautiful piano piece.

“432” is arpeggio based Minimal Music associates Philip Glass.

“Hanging D” is the most grandiose and serious song in the album with hard chord backings and fine melodies of the top notes of backings.

“An Alamagation Waltz 1839” is a melancholic, solitary also very beautiful and precious unique Waltz.

“Every Ending Is A New Beginning” is sorrowful but refreshed wonderful composition.

A one of very good piano solo works in today’s Post-classical music.

“A Winged Victory for the Sullen” is the debut album and artist named title album.

“We Played Some Open Chords and Rejoiced, For the Earth Had Circled the Sun Yet Another Year is the song is consist of solid piano chord backings and Ambient like pads and strings.

“Requiem for the Static King Part One” is a requiem by strings accompaniment and sythesizer pad lead melodies. “Requiem for the Static King Part Two” is strings chords with piano fragmental phrases, associates Ambient Music of Brian Eno.

“Minuet for a Cheap Piano Number Two” is an apathetic fragmental piano with strings song.

“Atomos I” is a sacred and significant song, which begins with pads chords, strings passages and piano backings follow.

Volker Bertelmann a.k.a. Hauschka is a German pianist-composer. Hauschka is the alias for his original works. Volker Bertelmann is his real name, and the name for making film scores.

Substantial (Karaoke Kalk, 2004)

“Vielleicht” is a piano backing based with fragmental guitar and environmental noises.

“Golden” is also a piano backing song with a wood mallet instrument.

“Two Stones” is a New Age taste cute song.

“Kein Wort” is a composition by muted tone few notes.

“Kreuzung” is a minor key but refreshing song with percussive plucks and piano body tappings.

“Morning” is a simple refreshing and apathetic song by muted tones with electronic noises and percussions.

This album is made by prepared piano and their dubbings. But, different to experimental, occur and string one, like John Cage’s prepare piano. This album is fine and very good musical work.
