“Homes” is the debut album of Iranian root Swedish female composer, Shida Shahabi.
“Abisme” is mysterious and curious song suit associates Erik Satie’s “Six Gnossiennes”.
“Smygkatt” is a mysterious and minimal composition features impressive up and down phrases.
“Petula” is 4 beat amusing and wonderful exotic dance song.
“Pretty in Plums” is Islamic or Asian taste Electronica or Ambient. Piano plays arpeggios, ethnic mallet or pluck instruments play melodies with harmonies.
“Dawning and Wind” is a melancholic and apathetic improvisational piano solo song has the element of Blues.
“Vassen” is a minimal apathetic and little bit Asian taste song like Federico Mompou and Jazz piano solo.
“Epilog” is a sorrowful a sorrowful, apathetic and vague simple piano solo piece with reflection noise.
“Afterword” is sentimental and fantastic, Classical and European Folk taste song like Fabrizio Paterlini.
Very wonderful, mystic and exotic piano solo album has elements and tastes of Modernist Music, Asian and Persian Ethnic Music and Jazz. I recommend this album who like Satie, Mompou, Scriabin, Nunu and Gonzales (aka Chilly Gonzales).
Living Circle (FatCats Records, 2023)
“Kinsei” is an abstract Classical song with cello solo and reflection noises.
“Deep Violet Of Gold” is a vague. Ambient song with cello improvisational solos and noisy synthesizer chords like myst.
“Living Circle” is a calm and odd slow Post-classical song. It begins with soft piano backing and cello solo. Female chorus and sythesizer pad follow.
“Aestus” is a song a song is consist of mysterious female chorus and few tones of piano backing and keen reverb reflections.
“Tecum” is nostalgic mood Ambient like Aphex Twin “Ambient Works vol. 2”. It’s consist of synthesizer pad backing and another pad lead.
“Remain” is an apathetic and transparent Post-classical song. It begins with unemotional piano backing. Layers of pads and strings follow.
“Tree Mountain” is abstract Drone Ambient is consist of beautiful and noisy pad chord and cello solo and environmental noises.
A good album of the music is in between Post-classical and (Drone) Ambient.
